| It is part
of the mission of the Fraternity and Sorority Community at the University
of Wisconsin-Madison to promote and foster the growth and development
of our student members by challenging students to achieve their
highest academic success. Through various scholarship activities,
academic success is encouraged throughout the community. Academic
success and achievements are recognized and celebrated throughout
each academic semester. One such recognition is the scholar of the
month. Each month, the sororities are invited to nominate a member
as the scholar of the month. One woman is chosen each month based
on her academic achievements and ability to remain an active member
of her chapter. Scholarships throughout the year are also awarded
based on academic standing.
In order
to reach their academic goals, members of our Greek Community are
provided with many resources available to support them. They are
alerted of available scholarships, library classes on campus and
in the community, and put into contact with outside resources. The
Greek Community of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, strives
for academic excellence and is always improving.

In order
to map academic success, the Greek Community tracks the Grade Point
Averages of all members. Each semester, a Greek Grade Report
is generated providing the overall chapter average, new member average,
and initiated member average. Institutional and All-Greek
benchmarks are also included in the report to monitor how each chapter
is doing in comparison to their peers.
