The Brothers of Chi Phi would like to welcome you to Madison and cordially invite you to our house.

Chi Phi fraternity was founded in 1824 at Princeton University and has over 65 chapters and colonies nationwide. The University of Wisconsin Chapter has been located at 200 Langdon since 1916, and is the oldest social fraternity on campus.

We pride ourselves on the strength of our brotherhood, which is the foundation of our existence. This strong brotherhood has allowed us to remain one of the strongest houses on campus for over 85 years. We hold many activities at the house including parties with many sororities, DJ parties, formals, date parties, and numerous brotherhood functions. We are also very active in campus sports including intramural basketball, football, softball, volleyball, soccer, and hockey. We are also involved in Greek events including Homecoming, Humorology, and Greek Week.

Social activities are a large part of our house, but academics and philanthropy are also of great importance. Chi Phi constantly ranks near the top of fraternity grade point averages. There is a wide range of majors found in the house, including everything from liberal arts to law to engineering. Whatever field of study you are in, chances are good that you will find help from one of the brothers. The main philanthropies for the house are the Mad City Bomber wheel chair basketball team and our Chi Phi compassion child Abenzer Dawit.
