encourage the making of successful women. To accomplish our mission,
we will:
-Maintain the highest levels of quality and integrity
-Create a climate that encourages teamwork, creativity, and innovation;
and above all,
-Give our unmoving and absolute support and encouragement to those
we hold dear to our hearts, our sisters
We will measure our success in how well we are regarded by our peers,
represented by our competitors, and supported by our sisters
History:
alpha Kappa Delta Phi (aKDPhi) is the first nationally-recognized
Asian-interest sorority. aKDPhi was established at the University
of California at Berkeley in the fall of 1989. The sisterhood has
since then spread to prominent university campuses across the country.
In May 2008, the 44th chapter of alpha Kappa Delta Phi,
Sorority Inc. was established at the University of Wisconsin-Madison
as the first Asian-interest sorority in the state.
Why Rush aKDPhi?
alpha Kappa Delta Phi is the first and only nationally recognized
Asian-interest sorority. The sisters of aKDPhi are active members
of the University as well as the surrounding community, and can
be found in honor societies, as leaders of other APA organizations,
volunteers in service organizations, amongst other things. You ask
why rush aKDPhi? We say, why not? Rush is a period of time where
rushees are given the opportunity to find out more about all the
greek organizations on campus. There is also no obligation to join.
We encourage our rushees to also find out about other greek organizations
to determine what is right for her.
