New Alcohol Education Programs

E-CHUG

The Electronic CHeck-Up to Go is a new self assessment tool, available for students to examine their own alcohol use. The program also provides instant feedback regarding how your drinking behavior compares to other UW-Madison students. This unique program is sponsored by the Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Association, and University Health Services. Ready to check it out for yourself? Click here for E-CHUG.

Our Chapter, Our Choice

The Our Chapter, Our Choice Program is a nationally recognized program sponsored by National Interfraternity Conference. It is a proactive peer-facilitated program conducted by students that empower Greek chapters in the process of examining and redefining individual and chapter alcohol and drug norms. The program provides a process for making healthy, low risk, legal decisions regarding alcohol and drugs. The following chapters: Alpha Chi Rho, Alpha Chi Omega, Chi Omega, Gamma Phi Beta, Kappa Kappa Gamma and Sigma Delta Tau participated in the program and worked diligently on instilling these norms within their chapter community thought out this spring semester. The following students served as peer facilitators: Eric Bennett, Meagan Cameron, Lindsay Cameron, Marjorie Cohen, Megan Forbeck, Cari Gresh, Jennifer Holland, Kristin Johnson, Nate Kloiber, Christine Kolowith, Lisa Rauser, Bob Spencer and Anastasia Vener. Thank you to all of the chapters and facilitators for all of their hard work and for their commitment to taking a proactive stance against substance misuse and abuse.

If your chapter is interested in participating in this program or if you interested in being a facilitator for the fall semester, please contact Barb Kautz, Fraternity & Sorority Program Advisor, by email at bekautz@wisc.edu.
