Do I need Letters
of Recommendation to participate in sorority recruitment?
No, they are completely optional. They of course
can’t hurt, but are not required.
Who
can write me a Letter of Recommendation?
Generally, a alumnae member
or current member of a campus sorority or the Alumnae Panhellenic
Association in your area would write you a Letter(s) of Recommendation.
Letters of Recommendation may be written on personal stationary
or on a form that is supplied by the National/International Headquarters
of each of the sororities. The authour of the letter
should include how they know the woman participating in recruitment,
their Greek Affiliation including the year and school they pledge
at and their thoughts on why this person would be a good addition
to the chapter/Greek Community.
Where do I
send Letters of Recommendation?
Letters of Recommendation should be sent to the attention of the
Recruitment Chair of the sorority or sororities you have Letters
of Recommendation for. Listed below is the address for each
sorority on UW's campus.
