Gamma Alpha Omega Sorority, Inc. was the first and remains the largest Latina based sorority in Wisconsin, we are located at UW-Parkside, UW-Milwaukee, UW-Oshkosh, UW-Whitewater and we most recently established here at UW-Madison. We are a community service based sorority that seeks women with a desire to empower youth by promoting the quest for higher education. In addition to our community service efforts we also enjoy social events and spending time with our fellow sisters. We live by our pillars of Honesty, Integrity, Leadership, Scholarship, and Unity.

Mission Statement: Gamma Alpha Omega Sorority, Inc. is a Latina-founded, Multicultural organization that exists to:

Increase the number of women with a college education and advanced degrees.
Provide mentors for youth, women and under-represented communities.
Enhance the individual leader in each member.
Provide a family of lifelong support system for sisters who live their lives by the pillars of Honesty, Integrity, Leadership, Scholarship & Unity.

National Philanthropy: Education with a Focus on Youth Mentorship. We recognize the value of role models and mentorship, as undergraduates and alumnae. Our sisterhood is committed to personal success as well as outreach efforts in the community. Here in Madison we tutor at local high schools weekly and are also implementing a year long program to prepare local high school students for college.
