THE PURPOSE OF DELTA DELTA DELTA shall be to establish a perpetual bond of friendship among its members, to develop a stronger and more womanly character, to broaden the moral and intellectual life, and to assist its members in every possible way.
Delta Delta Delta is one of the largest national sororities and has maintained a strong presence at UW Madison for nearly 110 years. With women of different backgrounds from all over the country, our chapter is very diverse. Tri Delta prides itself on being the first women’s fraternity established without the help of men. Our chapter has a very close sisterhood.

Leadership: There are many leadership opportunities in Delta Delta Delta. There are numerous leadership positions to hold within the chapter as well as the Greek community. Our chapter is very committed to Greek activities such as Homecoming, where we took first place last fall, and Greek Week. All of our members are involved in an array of activities such as All-Greek Council, Hoofers, Dance Elite, ALPs, various Greek life organizations, and numerous business organizations, just to name a few.

Philanthropy: Delta Delta Delta is active in community service and philanthropic events on campus and in the community. Our philanthropy, Cakes for Kids, raises a large amount of money each year for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital . Nationally, Tri Delta has donated over $1.3 million to help the Kids of St. Jude. Our chapter also participates in other Greek philanthropies.

Scholarship: Delta Delta Delta always stresses the importance of academic achievement throughout the year. We hold study tables each week to give members a chance to study together. Tri Delta holds a professor dinner once a semester and also has a scholarship banquet to recognize those who have succeeded academically.

Social: Tri Delta participates in a variety of social events through out the year. Such events are: Date parties, theme parties, semi-formals, and formals. Our chapter also holds many sisterhood events such as shopping trips to Chicago, lazer tag, and ice skating to name a few.
