As
one of the largest fraternities in America , Kappa Kappa Gamma is
a strong family tree that has been holding women together through
love and loyalty since 1870. This organization takes pride in individuality
and diversity, by providing an opportunity for women of various
different backgrounds to share a common bond of tradition and honor.
Kappa
provides its members with numerous opportunities to expand their
college experience and to excel academically. Kappa’s create strong
relationships with each other and with their community through philanthropies,
campus-wide events, socials, and sisterhoods. Some of these activities
include our annual basketball tournament, Hoops for Hope, sorority
pilates classes, weekly study tables, and numerous fun costume events.
You can spot Kappa’s almost anywhere on campus whether it is a sister
cheerleading at a football game, Kappa’s studying together at College
Library, ladies actively competing in Humorology or Homecoming week,
or a group of girls just having some fun at the terrace. Kappa prides
itself in being a laid-back house, yet we still set a high standard
for academic goals and achievements, holding many awards to show
for it.
For
these reasons and more, Kappa sisterhood is an amazing experience
where members construct a solid foundation for building meaningful
and everlasting friendships, and where many fond memories are made.
Kappa Kappa Gamma will make your trip through college something
you will treasure for the rest of your life!
"Sisterhood
is the essence of all the wisdom of the ages, distilled into a single
word. You cannot see sisterhood, neither can you hear it nor taste
it. But you can feel it a hundred times a day. It is a pat on the
back, a smile of encouragement. It's someone to share with, to celebrate
your achievements. From the outside looking in, you can never understand
it. From the inside looking out, you can never explain it." ~Anonymous
